they are really different, because a class has a 4-door model. besides, i am not so sure that smart is a safe car. the length between the front and the legs of a person in the smart car would be so little! imagine a crash!

A-class has only two major body type, the very 1st A160 and the rest of the A-class share the other body type. It comes in 4 and 2 doors version. A-class is Mercedes very 1st front wheel drive models. It is Mercedes very own new development, but sadly soon will be replaced by the B-class.
Smart Fortwo, is basically a Japanese car. But marketing by MB. It has a Mitsubishi engine, for the same brand it has Smart Forfour and the roadstar.
Both car look exactly the same?? have you eyes checked.
