This is the age old question: BMW VS Mercedes.

My family has owned both & I can honestly say BMW smokes Mercedes as far as driving pleasure is concerned.

Mercedes are too uptight feeling to me and they feel like they’re “choking”. Now, their interior is nice & they do come up with some pretty models i.e. a white 2006 CLS 550 AMG.

In my experience though, BMW handles roads, curves & steering much, much better. BMW’s have a fun spirit about them, their engines sound better/feel better and they perform pure driving pleasure compared to most Benz.

I’m just curious how this all started and what BMW/MERCEDES people think about it.

I understand it all can come down to taste & look categories. And everyone likes different cars. You have Bimmer people, Benz People, Lexus people, ect.

This is probably a stupid question to have asked … but I think BMW is unjustified often. And it saddens me because they’re so much more fun to drive and their engine’s are built so much better than most Mercedes.
